Has anyone had an immediate decently dark line on just a the hcg Premom strips seven DPO? I’m either super early pregnant (2 weeks, 6 days/7 DPO) or I’m 6 weeks pregnant and what I thought was my period was not.
Took three pregnancy tests at 7 o’clock last night and they were all positive the second the urine hit them. Also took a first response and that one had an obvious line immediately as well, not as dark as when I tested in the morning for my first baby at three weeks pregnant though. I’m going to buy another digital one. I’m just worried about how far along I am. Just looking for opinions, I wonder if a doctor would give me a blood test and be able to figure it out? :)

blood test will definitely give you estimated age of gestation depending on the concentration of hcg. I remember being 1 day late of my period and a test almost immediately popping up with a line.
if you go digital get the one that has the estimate, I think it's clear blue?

my doctor wouldn’t let me schedule for a blood test sadly. So I guess I’ll go December 19 because they said that they didn’t want me to come too soon by any chance. I’ll try to find the test you’re talking about. I didn’t know there was one with an estimate! When I found out, I was pregnant last time it was a faint line after a few the first day of my period

I would say you’re definitely not 7 dpo lol. That’s a dye sealer! I think it’s hard to say how far you are but it’s super rare to get a positive at 7 dpo (not never but it’d be very unlikely it would be that dark and the average for implementation is 9dpo)

I would reach out to the doctor again because it sounds like you’re likely 6 weeks (which I actually am too and by surprise as well it seems for you too!) which it sounds like from how dark the line was. My doctor had me go in the next day for a blood test to check hcg since I wasn’t sure exactly of my ovulation date

I asked for a blood test when I called and the lady said no. They didn’t want to waste their time if I wasn’t 8 weeks when I showed up. �� So I have to wait until December 19th

I agree with above. I would call the doctor again and just tell them you are 6 weeks. In my opinion there is no way that’s a 6/7 DPO positive test. Do they usually see you for the first time at 11 weeks?! I feel like you’ll be missing that first appointment.

it's worth it to get the care you need and want. I ended up at a hospital about 30-40 min away from home downtown bc it was the best place I knew to give birth. wouldn't have it any other way!

can you pay out of pocket at a lab? i was able to get an hcg draw for $28 out of pocket at a labcorps (idk what labs are near you but check their website!)

My doctor confirms a possible unknown date with ultrasound. Could they send you for one before your appt. I was 9 weeks when I found out about December babe. I had a hematoma that bled like a period.

Do you have a history of ovarian cysts? I have popped several before and they bleed like periods ��

actually yes! I had some several years ago. It was a weird period too with a random day where it stopped then I spotted for two so that could be it.

I would think that’s the case then. For your doctor, did you call your OB, or your PCP? Because if you haven’t talked to your PCP, you could call and just say “Hey I think I’m pregnant, could you order a blood test please?”

It was my OB but they have an answering service. I actually have a new patient appointment Monday with a new PCP, I might ask them. But someone recommended LabCorp too!! I found a $50 on demand HCG blood test that I might do when my husbands back Wednesday. :)

Same happened to me with my now 2024 December baby �� thought I had a period and did not and was super pregnant haha
